Youth Ministry

COVID-19 Update

Our desire is to continue some sort of programming for students in grades 6 through 12 so that, they have a place to hangout, talk, discuss faith or anything that is happening. Youth Ministry is very relational and we want to maintain all of those positive relationships we’ve built.

Three opportunities we have to offer:
    1. The link for DV / DD Online is this:  https://minnstate.zoom.us/j/722557357 Be sure to bookmark this link as it will be the same one for every single Wednesday.
    2. Content will varry from week to week. Last week (March 25), we had 15 people logged on just to check in. This week (April 1), we will be discussing  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM3qHBAekhg&feature=youtu.be this video.
    3. A Digital Youth Conference (free btw) of nationally renowned Catholic speakers. Taking place on Sundays at 7:00 PM CST. Here is the link:  ProjectYM.com/watch
Stay tuned for updates regarding Castaway and the Mission Trips. Changes are coming.

Luke 12:49-53 tells us that Jesus was to bring division instead of peace. It seems off-putting that we would offer a program named, “Divided.” Jesus begins the Gospel saying, “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing.” Translating too, the love we have for God is like a fire burning deep in our hearts and we must be baptized in that fire to be disciples on that mission of spreading the good news. In that process, we realize that there will be division in our peer groups, work, church and school. But if we follow Christ (through division) we can experience eternal unity in Heaven. – Divided est. 2019
