All are invited to join us for Adoration at Saint Benedict’s on Friday, August 6, from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
What is Eucharistic Adoration? When we are in a relationship with someone and want to get to know them better, we spend time together. Adoration is time spent with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. A consecrated host is placed in a special vessel called a monstrance and placed on the altar. We are each invited to come spend time with Jesus present in the Eucharist. This can be as short as a few minutes or as long as you feel like staying. Some people sit in silence. Others bring something to read: the Bible, a prayer book, a spiritual book. Others pray the Rosary. Being with Jesus in a set-aside place for an intentional time can do amazing things for your relationship with him–come check it out!
